7/10 My absolute favourite - (Kumala Zenith Chenin Blanc Chardonnay)

I really think this wine just sits so well with all sorts of lovely meals.

It is a marvellous wine just to glug, or a superb companion to any chicken or fish dish with pasta.
I adore this wine with a lovely Fruit De Mer Linguine.

8/10 Great days in Canada - (Sutter Home White Zinfandel)

This was a lovely fruity Rose wine from Californa, easy to drink and great with most foods including steak and fish.
It was crisp and fresh without a bitter after taste...a very socialable bottle of wine

9/10 Solid SB - (Tesco Finest Tapiwey Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc )

New Zealand SBs are lighter and fizzy. This has a stronger body with definite sweet/dry flavours and no fizz - a more rounded flavour which I prefer. NZ SBs remind me of lemonade. This Chilean has reality a little of the slightly honeyed Chardonnay I often get from Chilean wines. I like it a lot and its way cheaper than the NZ types when on the often half-price online offers from Tesco.

9/10 A tasty bargain - (Asda Extra Special Valpolicella Ripasso)

I was impressed by the M@S Ripasso when offered a glass a while ago, so when I came across this in Asda I was quite hopeful. Happily, I was not disappointed. A lovely, refined red, reasonably full-bodied, but without the Aussie knock-out punch, and with a warmth and depth Ive not often found at this price.

6/10 Easy to drink - (Blossom Hill Rose)

I find this wine easy to drink and nice when drunk ice cold. A typical summer day BBQ drink.

1/10 NOT a diamond - (Rosemount Estate Diamond Label Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon)

I was very disappointed to find Rosemount contributing to the cheap and not so cheerful range with their white label wines. Need I say more?

8/10 Nice - (Montana East Coast Unoaked Chardonnay )

This has a green edge to it with a dry slightly acidic fruity finish. Likely why some are oaked. Whatever, this is quite refreshing. Slightly chilled it is wonderful with a fish/chicken salad on a warm day listening to the Moody Blues. Its also nice by itself. Reminds me of the Montana Marlborough sauvignon blanc which is more fruity and fizzy.
